RESOUNDING SUCCESS OF THE AYALA STUD FARM IN SICAB 2009

Presentation

The Ayala stud-farm was founded in 1985 in the town of Utrera, just 20 miles from Seville, with the purchase of a Spanish purebred horse named “Cascanueces” (Nutcracker), this was followed by the acquisition of a brood of mares raised by Mr. Joaquin Buendia and a further brood of mares belonging to the Garcia Romero breeders, and branded with their distinctive number 7 iron.

In 1993, two colts were bought from the renowned Guardiola heirs whose names were Educado X and Ebanisto, along with a group of six mares, Corinta, Cantuda, Hispanita, Marchenera, Marciala and Escritora. From this elite equine group and its descendants, a strict selection process is undertaken in which a linage of champion breeds begins to take shape bearing the initials RAM which identify the full name of their breeder, Mr. Rafael Ayala Muñoz, who has widely shown his great judgment in the mixing of these three breeds in various morpho-functional competitions.
